Not able to login to external yammer communities

Since we stood-up our new yammer instance in the EU geo, which operates in native mode, our users are not able to login to any external yammer communities. they get the below error or get redirected to our company yammer instance. is this expected behavior ? 

"Sorry, we can't open this message".
