Creating a Yammer group without O365 resources

While replicating an issue in Yammer with our team, @Tom Kretzmer suggested a hack for users that want a Yammer group but no O365 resources. Create the group as private/unlisted so that no connected groups are attached. Then revert the group back to public:-).

late answer I know, but this should work:

If you disable or limit Group Creation

It looks like if a user who is not allowed to create a O365 Group still can create a Yammer Group. 

So this could be a workaround for your problem, if you still have it.
