With introducing of the code styles into text editor (which not always suitable) the ability to format code manually is lost. In particular, their is no way to highlight or bold part of the code to pay attention on it. Pre-styled editor works better from this point of view.

@Sergei Baklan - Thank you for another great feedback point. Unfortunately the code syntax highlighter comes bundled with pre formatted styles. Although we could try to change these it may result in unexpected behaviour in other languages.

 

The suggestion here would be to use <pre> tags rather than the Syntax highlighter, which I believe is what you have suggested anyway.
