No CSP Spotlight and Licensing Update sessions in FY24

Steel Contributor

I have heard that these very valuable monthly sessions ran by the Licensing School are not to feature during Microsoft's FY24.

In my experience these sessions are always very well attended, and extremely helpful in highlighting the regular licensing changes and challenges.

I would like to ask that Microsoft reverse their decision not to host these sessions please!

Yes Microsoft, please go ahead with these session, these were very well attended and extremely valuable for all partners.

@LicensingConcierge1
yes please go ahead! They are really important for us!

@Christine

I attended the sessions as well and agree that they were of great benefit.

However, I was not aware that they would be ending and unfortunately, I do not manage the sessions unfortunately. I'm sure that your feedback can be acknowledged during the next Partner Hour.

I raised this on a CSP Partner Q&A session today and have been told the sessions will now be running. The Eventbuilder page with the sessions should be updated in the coming days.

What about APAC region? I am only seeing Americas and EMEA which run too early or too late for us here in APAC.

Hi @Mikhail__B

I'm would assume that it's going to be added soon as it seems like they're gradually ramping back up.

If you bookmark the website, I'm sure you can check back occasionally.

You can also contact their team to ask about APAC, by selecting on of the following contact methods:

Wow - that was my best source of information to proactively help clients adopt new functionality and answer questions. Very disappointing. Huge gap to fill.
We didn't see any scheduled event this year. Anyone has any news?
These events are very useful and necessary for the Partners.
Haven't seen an update yet either, really looking forward to next calls. Hopefully soon!

As of to date, I do not see any CSP Spotlight and/or Licensing Update sessions for 2024 - Commercial Licensing Events Listing Page (eventbuilder.com)

I've reached out to the Licensing School to inquire & I'll follow up accordingly.

Thank you for your patience.

Hello All,

I did some research and can confirm that it's Microsoft’s intent is to continue with the CSP Spotlight & Licensing Update sessions, or offer similar calls for the remainder of FY24.

However, no sessions are available to date.

We're advised to check back on the following link - Commercial Licensing Events Listing Page (eventbuilder.com).

It's not exactly the response we're looking for, but it gives us hope :smile:

Let´s hope. However, I do also hope that if they continue, it will be Louise going on with the sessions. She is the best:-)

Thank you,

I sent also a mail to Louise but I didn't get feedback 😞

@Rodrigo330 what is Lousie's full name and I will try to reach out to her.
