I didn't see a notice or convo in Yammer, but we see the new Recycle Bin experience in our Production tenant. However, a few quirks:

  1. You cannot delete a single item from the bin, it errors out.
  2. The first link (left) in the top navigation structure has to be clicked several times to work. The others seem fine with one click.

Just wondering if anybody else is seeing oddities like this.

I have just tried in our production and was able to delete some items, but others gave an error of 'not having enough resources' and then an error saying 'operation is not valid due to the current state of the object'. No.2 not experiencing.

Have either of you opened a support ticket? Those errors do not sound like the intended experience...

Working for me with no issues

I have tested this in IE, Chrome and Edge and all browsers gave me the same experience. I had one occurrence of a file that could not be deleted from the first recycle bin "due to the current state of the object" (although my tenant is completely setup in Dutch, the message is in English) which was a onenote file. So it is safe to say that the function works as expected.

This is exactly what we are seeing - the current state of the object error.

That is the error message we are getting consistently.

Amanda, have you tried to upload a new file and then delete it? Just to see if that works as expected.

In my current experience I would say that the issue is related to files that are in a specific state. I did some additional research and it appeared that the file that I wanted to restore is a file without version history and it already existed with the same name. Could you check if that is the case? The file in my case was a .one (Onenote) file.

And we are no longer having the issue. So it goes.....
