Good afternoon team,
We have a client with the product Dynamics 365 for Unf Ops Plan, Ent Edition in Legacy. We would like to know to which product the client could migrate in NCE that offers the same benefits, features, and price.
Kind Regards,
Elizabeth

@Elizabeth_Carrasco I don't know much about this, but @MartijnElfers may have some insight. He is one of our superusers and is FULL of great information. 🙂
Thanks in advance for @MartijnElfers!

Hi @Elizabeth_Carrasco ,
Not an easy case you got there.
First things first, you'll never get the same pricing. Costs will (most likely) increase. Only way to get somewhat similar pricing is to purchase less services.
D365 Unified Operations (F&O) Plan license was a package of the different D365 licenses and included the following modules, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Retail (now Commerce) and Talent (now HR) (now also includes Project Operations). This Plan license has been deprecated almost 5 years ago now. You'll need to replace the D365 F&O Plan license with licenses for each of these modules separately via the Base + Attach model.
You probably don't need all modules. But knowing which modules are used, depends on the setup of the environment, the functionalities being used and the roles assigned to the users within D365. Only you as the partner can answer those questions. And depending on those points, you need to purchase 1 or more/multiple modules.
So there's no 1 answer on the question: "which licenses do I need to replace D365 F&O Plan?".
Microsoft has created some reports/overviews to help you as a partner to get insights on the license usage.
- License Compliance: View license consumption for finance and operations apps - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn
- Named User License Count: Stay compliant with user licensing requirements - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Le... & Named user license count report (SysUserLicenseCountReport) | Microsoft Learn
- License Estimator: Stay compliant with user licensing requirements - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Le...
These reports help you to see how many, which type (full/medium/light) and which modules are being used and need to be purchased. But does not show how you can utilize the Base + Attach model for the licenses. So it still requires partner expertise to get the full answer.
Do note the price increase coming October. So I suggest to transition towards new Base + Attach model prior to the price increase, purchase 3-year subscriptions and safe money for your customer with 3 year price protection as they can avoid the price increase for 3 years.
Hope these insights help you in getting an answer for your customer.
