Licensing of Entra Access Reviews

Copper Contributor

Hi,

I'm working on testing Access Reviews and I'm stuck on the licensing part.

For access reviews of inactive users, guest users etc. do you need to license each user that will be reviewed (I guess not for guest users) or just the reviewers?

More insight into this will be greatly appreciated.

Hi @CharlotteL18

Thank you for posting on the community!

However, since your question is regarding licensing and not the CSP program, this should be posted under Business Applications or the NCE community.

As a courtesy, I will move this post and correct your label(s).

Hi @CharlotteL18

Per the following Learn Doc, creating a review on inactive users and with user-to-group affiliation recommendations requires a Microsoft Entra ID Governance license - Plan a Microsoft Entra access reviews deployment - Microsoft Entra | Microsoft Learn

Yes, I have seen that. But it doesn't clarify if both the reviewer and each user that you review requires a license. So more details in who exactly needs to have a license in all access review scenarios would be what I am looking for here.

Charlotte

If you are a Reseller, please discuss this with your Indirect Provider.

All of the information in the link address the person "using this feature", "deploying access reviews", and "creating a review"...so the person(s) carrying out these activities should be licensed:

Here is the information on the left side of the webpage that lists the types of licenses available, based on your needs. Please review the page for complete details:

It's a lot of information for you to review, but the licensing details are there.

Hope this clarifies!
