We have a customer which will implement a new data warehouse based on the architecture of an existing, on-premises SSIS environment. However, this warehouse will be setup in Azure.
What's best practice when it comes to Azure resources and instances? How should I think when separating the environments?
Multiple managed instances are expensive! Is it a good idea to setup different ADF instances for dev-, test- and production environments, and connect them to the same SQL instance, using separate databases within that managed instance?
Today's on-premises setup is three physically separated environments.
