We're in the process of retiring our StorSimple. Currently we have a single server presenting an iSCSI mounted volume to users. This works "okay" but when the server goes down for patches, folks are out of service. I'd like something a little more highly available and cloud oriented like our StorSimple.
I'd like to move to a storage vip, that fronts two file servers that are synced to the same Azure Files location. Will that work? Have others tried it? I've attached a crude Visio diagram. All users are on-prem for this, and the servers are in the same location. The goal is just more up-time and less "Oh bummer, gotta be down for patches"
