How to setup folder level or file level permission on Azure File Share for different set of users?

Hello

Is this possible to setup folder level or file level permissions on Azure File Share for different set of users with different kind of permissions using PowerShell or Azure Portal?

Hi,

the service is at the moment in preview and doesn’t support folder or file level permission:

Are there REST APIs to support Get/Set/Copy directory/file NTFS ACLs?
The preview release does not support REST APIs to get, set, or copy NTFS ACLs for directories or files.

And also keep in mind, On-Prem VMs are not supported

Azure AD authentication over SMB is not supported for on-premises machines accessing Azure Files.

For my point of view, the better solution at the moment is azure file sync
