Backing up Azure VM's with >1TB unmanaged disks [ Private Preview]

Microsoft

You can use attached private preview instructions to enroll your subscriptions for backup support for VMs with >1TB unmanaged disks. We are planning to bring >1TB managed disk support by end of this year.

This preview also features improvements to restore speed which can bring down restore time less than an hour in most cases.

Just checking if this is now available for managed disks?  It mentions it would be available by the end of last year.

Thank,

Greg

We currently deployed the support in West Central US and India Central. We are opening the rest of the regions by 1/19.

I don't see any announcements stating that Backup support for Managed Disks over 1TB has been released?  Can you please provide official documentation stating this, and for which regions? Thank you.

This is currently enabled through private preview. We generally run private preview with NDA customers who signed up for Azure Advisors. Given that, this is something customers would naturally expect, we are opening it up widely and announced it @ http://aka.ms/large-disk-backup-private-preview . Please refer to that link for details and instructions on joining the preview.

Can anyone tell me if there is a cost associated with this upgrade to a new VM Backup Stack greater than 1TB?
