How to test Windows Virtual Desktop clients

Microsoft

We have received a number of questions from users regarding how to test Windows Virtual Desktop from our HTML5, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android clients. Here's how:

HTML5: aka.ms/wvdweb

Windows: Download the Windows client here and refer to this documentation.

iOS (Beta): On your iOS device, visit aka.ms/rdiosbeta and follow the instructions.

macOS: Download the macOS client from the App Store.

Android: Download the Android client here and refer to this documentation.

@briantaintor Also, there is some confusion about the 'other' Remote Desktop apps, and even the RADC method.  These appear to work just fine with WVD testing, but the WVD Client is a different branch?  Also, the WVD Client branch is NOT in the Windows Store, correct?

@Robert Buckmaster

Correct, the Windows WVD client is not in the app store.

Message: AADSTS50020: User account 'barreline@hotmail.com' from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'MS Azure Cloud' and cannot access the application 'fa4345a4-a730-4230-84a8-7d9651b86739'(Windows Virtual Desktop Client) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account.

@tom-_1777 WVD only supports subscribing with an OrgID. It does not support personal Microsoft accounts.
