We have users who are 1 day in Europe, next day the America's etc. What we would like to do is automatically connect them to the nearest host pool in their region.
Would something like that be possible ? (by using front door maybe)
Hi, Normally when a user connects to the AVD service it connect to the service closest to the users location. From there he connects to the session host. There is no option to let the service choose what hostpool is nearest to your location. You would have to give access to separate hostpools and make sure that the users knows what desktop to start when he is in a specific location. Hope this answer your question.
@Johan Vanneuville , yeah, that is what we do now.. but it is not very practical. Would be amazing if an option to auto select "nearest host pool" would be available. Think I just have to bring up a feature request for that
