Azure Virtual Desktop Remote App issue

Hi all,

I want to share this information:

- Issue: mouse buttons stop working on the remote app

- Cause: the issue is related to RAIL DVC

- There are two separate workarounds:

Workaround 1: roll back the SXS and AVD agent (manually uninstall and install previous agents)

Workaround 2: add a regkey to the AVD session host as suggested by Chetan_W:

Status 05/30/2023:

Microsoft support is aware of the issue and Microsoft is working on a fix. Support is now checking if the workaround will reverse the setting once the fix is released.

Microsoft support just provided an update:

1. SXS updates

Rollbacking SXS updates is not needed.

2. Workaround

Value: RAILDVCActivateThreshold

Type: REG_DWORD

Data: 0

3. Resolution
Microsoft has requested internally for a permanent fix on the SXS update. The fix will be pushed in the coming month. There is no ETA.  When the fix is released, the registry key in the workaround will be updated automatically.
