Announcing public preview of Screen Capture Protection in Azure Virtual Desktop

Microsoft

We are excited to announce the public preview of Screen Capture Protection in Azure Virtual Desktop. This feature prevents sensitive information from being captured on the client end-points. When enabled, remoted content will be automatically blocked/hidden in screenshots, screen shares and also from malicious software that may be continuously capturing the screen content.

In this picture, you will see how the session in the middle is protected by this feature and doesn't show any remoted content.

Hi does this also supports Windows Server OS or it is only supported on Windows 10 OS as of now.

Also it works on Windows Desktop client, version 1.2.1526 or later , can we restrict the connections from older versions using Conditional Access.

@Sandeep Patnaik So the link where it says 'Try Now' takes you to a site that does not reference the screen capture protection feature.

Further to that we have received an email stating that screen capture protection is now becoming generally available and we need to disable the registry setting for the preview feature. Can you help me understand how we would use the screen capture protection feature once it is generally available? The email from Microsoft does not explain this.
