I want to suggest the implementation for resizable stage manager, so we can use the full resolution of the external display.

Yes please! I love my Windows 365 on IOS. No more need for a seperate laptop and with proper stage manager support its nailed!

Couldn’t agree more. Office 365 on iOS is great, though lack of compatibility with Stage Manager is a hindrance. Know MSFT has a number of priorities and now, economic challenges/staffing hurdles.  However, O365 compatibility with SM would be a major step forward and would likely generate a large number of users who work on PC and iPad interchangeably.

Would like to echo this sentiment!  Looking forward to an update where full-screen on a secondary monitor is available.

Another voice here. Stage Manager has no fullscreen which is a shame as it can use entire screen real-estate v.s just mirroring iPad.

Hi @NetDD1050 , how do we merge the two threads? I had a look and couldn’t quite work it out.

Copper Contributor

Yes please, it’s the only feature that I am really missing

I use W365 on my iPad a lot, this is really needed now that we can have it on an external display.

With last update when i open the IOS app with IPAD connected to an external monitor, is impossibile to open other windows simultaneously. The previous version was better. There is some program errors.

I agree @Andrea197050, this is the worst implementation ever. This is not great for multitasking.

The new version 10.5.1 has completely broken the app when using an external monitor with iPad - I hope they roll back to the previous version as soon as possible.

The only thing missing with the previous version was the ability to full stretch all the way to, or select, full screen for the app on the external monitor. This was possible in some early beta releases of iPadOS16, but now seems is something for Microsoft to fix on the app side.

If a complete rollback to 10.5.0 isn’t possible then the broken features need a toggle off button in settings ASAP please - so that its possible to again use the app on either screen.

THEY LISTENED TO US!!

On the last TestFlight’s version (5370) the support of stage manager is finally stable!!

It supports resizing and also changing resolution from the menu (It dynamically change while stretching of the app).

Nice work Microsoft, thanks. And also thank all of you that have commented and upvoted this suggestion!

Copper Contributor

Please do this! Any word on when it might be released?

Copper Contributor

Thank you Albeph for the news and also for your support.:thumbs_up::thumbs_up:

MS - I'm grateful that this feature is finally implemented but you need to add in a scaling feature to the "Display" option in the app. Otherwise when using an external display, the choice is between a readable but low resolution screen or a high resolution unreadable screen. Remote access apps such as Jump Desktop have long had this feature.

Hi @MB1989 , you're right, on the android version of the app this function is present. I hope that Microsoft will add this function!

Copper Contributor

@Albeph_ Interesting! I'm using the iPadOS version.

Hi everyone!

The stable version of RD Client with the support of stage manager is out!

Copper Contributor

Amazing! Yes I just updated my RDP client and full screen is here. No more need for a laptop!!! Thank you Microsoft!!!!
