The Windows version of Remote Desktop can easily shadow a session (with /shadow:1), sharing the session with an existing user instead of disconnecting them.

 

This is essential for some use cases and for some administration cases.

 

But after 10+ years, the macOS Remote Desktop client still cannot.  Why is this?  This is awful.
