Hi, I am using Microsoft Remote Desktop Mac client ( https://apps.apple.com/fr/app/microsoft-remote-desktop/id1295203466?mt=12 ) everyday to connect to remote app hosted on Windows servers. I upgraded to 10.8.0 this morning and the app does not connect anymore. It throws error code 0x3000064 It fails both when using imported RDP file, and when using Workspace connection. When connecting to an AVD workspace using Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac, the user is prompted for their password every time. You can change this by going through a semi-hidden, multi-step process to add credentials, but that is not obvious and hard to find: hover over the workspace name click the edit button. Next to user account, select add user account... go through steps to add. select the account. save. Please make this simpler by adding the same functionality that exists for Windows where you can just select "Remember these credentials"

When working for hours with a RDC on a Mac, copy / paste stops working between host and remote computer. Remote Desktop for Mac then needs to be restarted to restore the feature. I get errors about post flooding. But this is my first message ever here. 😮

To reproduce the bug (Mac OS Big Sur 11.6.1, but also happened on Catalina): 1. Load Slack 2. Use Microsoft Remote Desktop by remoting into another machine. Make sure "Clipboard" is enabled. After some time of using Slack and your Remote Desktop environment, they will freeze on each other. There's some race condition that causes both to hang. It seems to have something to do with the clipboard, and is often triggered when right-clicking to bring up the copy/paste menu in the Mac OS UI. I once had this freeze occur while trying to copy paste a URL out of a web browser and paste into a remote desktop session! Slack is aware of this bug and has been gathering information on this. You may want to reach out to them. Please fix this! It's super annoying

Really struggling in home office without my 3D mouse. The feature is enabled on the host , but the macos client does not allow to select the 3D mouse to be forwarded to the host. It would bring the feature set of the macos client inline with the windows client and scanning through the forums, this is really a feature a lot of people are missing.

When using the Microsoft Remote Desktop and the certificate can't be verified: (1) In Windows, we can select "Don't ask about this certificate again" for Microsoft Remote Desktop; (2) In Windows, we can select "Connect and don't warn me" under "if server authentication fails" for Remote Desktop Connection; In Macos, there is no such option and we always have to click "Continue", which is really annoying.

With RDP line of apps for IOS and Mac, we need to have an option to share configurations for added desktops between the devices. I now use to control over 60 clients with RDP and need to configure each of them over and over agian on MacBook, Mac or iPad. There should be an easy solution to keep configs of all those devices in iCloud and use on different devices with same AppleID.

Hello, Local OS: MacOS Monterrey. Remote OS: Windows 10 RDP Version: Latest Bug #1: Resizing windows. I use an external monitor with my MacBook. If I disconnect the monitor and just use my laptop, the screen becomes super enlarged. It's like it's zoomed in. I have to disconnect from my remote PC and reconnect to fix the issue. Bug #2: Irregular mouse pointer size. My monitor has a resolution of 1920x1080. My MacBook has a much higher resolution. If I move an application window from my monitor to my MacBook, the mouse pointer becomes huge. When I move the pointer back to my monitor, it becomes super small. Not sure why this happens. But because of this, I can't use my Macbook as a secondary display. Bug #3: Scroll acceleration. I think MacBooks use scroll acceleration and windows PC's don't? Scrolling is very very slow on the remote machine. I have to do 3 full rotations on my mouse before the page scrolls a little bit on the remote machine. To fix this, I downloaded UnnaturalScrollWheels. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature request. I'm happy to provide more details and answer questions. Thanks a lot!

I have been using Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac on my MacBook to connect to my Windows laptop a lot recently. One thing that has been negatively affecting my productivity is with the touchpad. I find that when scrolling on a remote machine with the MacBook's touchpad, scrolling is way too slow and sometimes not smooth (Whereas I don't have this issue with the built in touchpad on my Windows laptop), additionally, I am unable to zoom at all using the touchpad zoom gesture which is very annoying when using apps where I need to zoom a lot. If this experience could be improved, that would greatly help improve productivity.

RDP Client 10.7.1 directed me to this forum, I do not know if this is correct. My customers have problems using the following setup: - Windows Server (e.g. 2019 Datacenter) - RDP Client for macOS 10.7.1 (or any 10.x version) - macOS 10.13 .. 12 (up to Monterey) RDP is used for a Windows application which has a file-based data interface to an app (my company's app) on the Mac. The exchange folder is a folder on the Mac and redirected by RDP. This setup used to work fine with RDP Client 8.0.44 or before, but since RDP 10.x the Windows application has trouble to read the files from that folder. The app is supposed to read a csv file and accompanying TIFF files from a subfolder. The sync log says it cannot read these TIFFs. Until recently I recommended to use the old RDP 8.0.x client, but it does not work on Monterey any more. The strange thing is that I can copy all the Mac-generated files to a folder on the Windows machine using Windows Explorer, and then the application can read the files. So they are not corrupted. I found similar problem postings on the web, for example, this one. Unfortunately I do not have access to the source code of the Windows App (a vertical market health application), but the developers told me they use CreateFile and CopyFile API calls.
