We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 06/09, 03:08 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 06/06, 23:26 UTC and that during the 2 days, 3 hours and 42 minutes that it took to resolve the issue, Customers may notice that when performing any ARM action referencing the Microsoft.Insights resource provider in Central US, it may take longer that usual for ARM to complete the requests.

Root cause has been isolated to a frontend processor instance responding to requests improperly which was impacting the ability of ARM to access the resource provider. To address this issue we are removing the bad instance and replacing it with a new one. Customers may notice that when performing any ARM action referencing the Microsoft.Insights resource provider in Central US, it may take longer that usual for ARM to complete the requests.

We are aware of issues within Application Insights and are actively investigating. Some customers creating new subscriptions in North Central US region will experience issues registering their subscriptions with the Microsoft.Insights resource provider.
