We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 12/01, 14:42 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 12/01, 08:15 UTC and that during the 6 hours and 27 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some customers with Log Analytics workspaces in the West Europe region may have experienced data latency and incorrect alert activation.
Root Cause: The failure was due to a configuration issue in a backend service.
