Experiencing Data Access issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types - 12/03 - Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 12/03, 10:25 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 12/03, 08:50 UTC and that during the 1 hours 35 min that it took to resolve the issue 5% of customers experienced data access issue in the Azure portal.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to one of the dependent services.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We continue to investigate issues within Application Insights. Some customers continue to experience Data Access issue. Initial findings indicate that the problem began at 12/03 ~08:50 UTC.
