Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure portal for Log Analytics - 05/13 - Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 05/13, 20:00 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 05/12, 16:30 UTC and that during the 27 hours & 30 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some of the customers might have experienced data access issues while attempting to use saved searches.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to an issue in one of our back-end services.

We understand that customers rely on Azure Log Analytics as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

Root cause has been isolated to access data using saved searches which was impacting Log Analytics. To address this issue we fixed our back-end services. Data Access is now working as expected. Some of the customers may experience the data access issues and we estimate ~3 hours before all the impact is addressed.

Hello, what Azure regions were impacted by this issue? Please always list out the regions so customers can assess the blast radius quickly. Thanks!
