We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 08/05 12:30 PM UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 08/05 09:30 AM UTC and that during the 3 hours that it took to resolve the issue some of customers experienced issues while accessing their data in the Azure Portal. Query performance and Log Search Alerts would also have been impacted.
- Root Cause: The failure was due to a backend service experiencing performance degradation.

We are aware of issues within Log Analytics and Log Search alert and are actively investigating. Some customers in North Europe, West Europe and South Africa North may experience data access issue in the azure portal and when queried through API.
