We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 07/19, 18:30 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 07/19, 16:39 UTC and that during the 1 hour 45 mins that it took to resolve the issue some customers may have experienced data access issues for Log Analytics in West Europe region.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to the issue with one of our backend service

Root cause has been isolated to few nodes in the cluster. To address this issue we restarted the nodes. Data access through Log Analytics is now working as expected in West Europe region.
