We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 07/27, 17:50 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 07/27, 08:05 UTC and that during the 10 hours that it took to resolve the issue customers may have been unable to query metric data, and/or may have received failure notifications when retrieving Application Insights data.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to a
    recent deployment that prevented submitted data from fully propagating through
    our backend systems
  • Lessons Learned: Engineers will continue to
    investigate deployment procedures to prevent future recurrences of this issue
