Experiencing Data Latency issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types - 07/25 - Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 07/25, 17:24 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 07/25, 07:00 UTC and that during the 10.5 hours that it took to resolve the issue customers may have been unable to query metric data, and/or may have received failure notifications when retrieving Application Insights data.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to a recent deployment that prevented submitted data from fully propagating through our backend systems.
  • Lessons Learned: Engineers will continue to investigate deployment procedures to prevent future recurrences of this issue.

We continue to investigate issues within Application Insights. Some customers continue to experience Data Latency issue in the Azure Portal.  Initial findings indicate that the problem is with one of our backend service.
