We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 04/29, 11:20 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 04/22, 17:00 UTC and that during the 6 days 18 hours and 20 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some customers may have missed alerts on SQL resources for alert rules that were created before 04/23 12:00 UTC in Public cloud, US Gov cloud, China Gov cloud.
- Root Cause: The failure was due to an issue with configuration changes in one of our back end service.

We continue to investigate issues within Azure Metric Alerts. Some customers continue to experience missing alerts on SQL resources for alert rules that were created before 04/23 12:00 UTC in Public cloud, US Gov cloud, China Gov cloud. Initial findings indicate that the problem began at 04/22 ~17.00 UTC.
