New in azure labs

Copper Contributor

Hi,

i am new in azure labs. I need to create a lab with a domain controller (windows 2019) and 10 windows 10 client machines. What is the best option? Can I create a lab with different operating systems?

If I create 3 labs, can I route traffic beetwen those three labs?

@acarballeda,

Welcome to Lab Services!

If would recommend looking at the nested virtualization article which would allow you to create a Windows Server VM, set that as the DC and then create Windows 10 Hyper-V VMs.  Article describes how to set the networking so the host and client VMs can talk.  I'm not sure if you'll be able to get 10 client VMs, though.  Our largest size is 'Large (nested virtualization)' which has 32 GBs RAM.

I would also recommend checking out Azure DevTest Labs.  It doesn't have all the class management features, but does allow the creation of environments that can have multiple types of VMs in one group.

Hope that helps,

Elizabeth
