Azure Labs - Licencing Question

Copper Contributor

My company is offering software training to customers via VMs nested within an Azure Labs. When a new lab is being created and the base VM image is being chosen, the following message is displayed:

"This software is provided by Microsoft. Use of this software in Microsoft Azure is not permitted except under a volume licencing agreement with Microsoft. By clicking Create, I acknowledge that I or the company I work for is licensed to use this software under a volume licensing agreement with Microsoft and that the right to use it will be subject to that agreement."

I'm not sure what this means. Do the costs associated with running the VMs within the lab (from the pricing page), not include licensing for the operating system?

@Kyle_Irvan Thank you for reaching out! Customers aren't required to procure any OS licenses to deploy and use VM's in Azure Lab Services!
