We have a problem with AIP in combination with SharePoint Online.

If we encrypt Documents located in SharePoint Online or SharePoint on Premises with integrated AIP Client in  the related Office applications, Metadata in SharePoint is not displayed anymore.

It definitily does not work with the following Files:

PowerPoint Files (pptx) created in Office 2013 & 2016

Word Files (docx) created in Office 2013

If the Documents are beeing encrypted with PowerShell, the Metadata is retained with the option "-PreserveFileDetails".  Also if the file is downloaded, encryped localy and uploaded, the metadata also retains.

So I assume something is wrong with the implementaiton in the AIP Office Client.

Did anybody experience the same or has a solution?

(I already opened a Microsoft Ticket. Unfortunatly, it is not clear up to now if the SharePoint or AIP Team is responsible)

Situation improved since the last updates.

PowerPoint Files (pptx) created in Office 2013 & 2016 --> working now.

Word Files (docx) created in Office 2013 --> Still not working

I do not know if because of an Office or AIP client update.
