custom domain and VM

Hello,

I have a custom domain in azure. Now I like to access with RDP via subdomain from my custom domain the VM. Is this only possible with:

Subdomain cname point to *.location.cloudapp.azure.com

Or is there a other way?

I don't think RDP is sensitive to the hostname you connect with so a CNAME should work fine.
