Default Session timeout behavior and duration for Office Client (O365 and Office 2016)

Copper Contributor

Hi Everyone, been trying to search for the default session timeout behavior and its duration for office client, but i couldn't find one which is specific enough. The closest i found is this article, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/session-timeouts , under this "Azure Active Directory". It is very confusing as it mentioned Office 2013. What about Office 2016 and O365 office?

It's the same across all clients that use modern auth.

Thanks!
Wanted to confirm, is all Office O365, Office 2016 PC client, uses modern auth, AND default has access token validity for 1 hour with refresh token validity for 90 days.

Does it means if I stop using my Office PC client for more than 90 days, the next day (i.e. 91th Day) will require me to sign in to Office PC client again?

No, it will actually happen earlier (14 days or so), as 90 days is the maximum validity. Or at least it was, now it's unlimited I believe.
