In Azure AD under Devices, there are 9 columns that are automatically entered when a device registers. We want to use this information to manage our hardware, but the only thing we have to go off of is the computer/device name. Is it possible to add additional attributes or notes that can be viewed in the Azure Portal? For example, the hardware serial number, purchase date, warranty expiration, etc.

If not, is it possible to attribute information such as this to devices in Intune?

Hi Andrew,

the serial number, device model and OS versions are automatically added to the portal. More information is not available and you cannot configure the client to retrieve additional information.

You could take a look at the Intune Datawarehouse PowerBI report: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/reports-nav-create-intune-reports This includes a little bit more, but you can still not customize which data Intune retrieves from the device.

I'd like to add to this, still not a full fix, but you could add custom attributes to the AzureAD devices using the Graph API: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/docs/api-reference/v1.0/api/opentypeextension_post_opent...

However, these won't display in the Azure Portal, you'd have to write your own scripting to read it back :(
