Two Hostnames with the same IP Address

Copper Contributor

Dear All,

I am having a Windows Server 2012 with Active Directory, and i have noticed that 2 hostnames when i ping them i am getting the same IP Address.

I have enable the automatic scavenging in the DNS tree, and also in the Zone but still the same.

Can anyone knows how to solve this issue

Thanks

@PambosZeniou Open Server Manager -> DNS manager and look for the related objects in both the Forward and Reverse Zones.

You should be able to resolve the conflict pretty quickly.

@Kevin Lovegrove

Under Forward and Reverse Zones i can see only the one object.

When i try to ping the second object i still get reply back.

Any suggestions?

IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS on the machines giving the erroneous result?

@Kevin Lovegrove I already done all this

Please see below when i ping the 2 different hosts

ping rawabi413.ddns.cyberoam.com
