MFA - is write-back needed?

Copper Contributor

HI All.  I hope I am posting this in the right discussion group.

We have a hybrid setup with on premise active directory which syncs to Azure.  Currently we don’t have write-back from Azure to AD on premise.  Would that be needed first to implement MFA?

Hello, no. My previous org. didn't use password write-back (don't know why really) but they've been using MFA for ages.

As @ChristianBergstrom said, is not a requirement.
