Greetings, Insiders! We are back with our Top Feedback update this week with a few changes! While we were gone, some items were addressed in our Dev and Canary channels, some are already seen in our Stable channel, and we’ve decided to not plan one of the other items. Let’s hop into it!
First up, what is being marked as Addressed! Y’all should spot that we’ve been working hard on tab preview and see it in both our Dev and Canary channels now. However, we’ll continue to make iterations on it, so this is a reminder to let us know your thoughts or any issues you spot by submitting feedback directly through the browser (see below for those steps if you are unfamiliar with them). With that, Bring the tab preview feature from the current version of Microsoft Edge is now marked as Addressed. We’re also considering Allow more than one row of top sites on the New Tab Page as Addressed, since there is now an option to expand the number of top site rows available in the Custom settings for the new tab page. To change this setting, head to the new tab page, click the Settings gear icon and then select Custom. The line for Quick Links now has a drop down with options for 1 row, 2 rows, or disable the links altogether.
Finally, we have decided to mark Enable option to match Windows display language as Not Planned. We have found that most users have their languages aligned between the browser and Windows. However, if you spot that Edge is not honoring your Windows default language, the team wants to know! If you hold Alt+Shift+I while Edge is in focus on your Windows device, you can let us know what’s happening there so the team can dig in more.
That’s all for this week’s update! Check back with us next week to see where we are with your top feedback requests. Remember to let us know your thoughts and suggestions directly through the browser by heading to the … menu > Help and feedback > Send feedback!

@MissyQ Thank you for removing the "news alerts" for people who have selected "content off" for their new tabs page. This is an improvement from the very distracting and unwanted experience introduced a few weeks ago when the news alerts were introduced.
I see that in this patch that the speed of the new tabs page was improved. It does seem to be slightly better, but it's still not as fast as the ultimate, most-secure, best-internationalized, least-distracting, and most eco-friendly new-tab page: `about:blank`. Please allow us to use `about:blank` as our new tab page and save the Earth and some of your users' sanity. Thank you!

Edge Legacy could show a persistent preview of all tabs in addition to showing the previews when hovering over the tabs, so I don't consider "Bring the tab preview feature from Microsoft Edge legacy" as addressed. Are there plans to bring the persistent previews back as well? It's needed when looking through many open tabs and when using touch. Windows needs a browser which works well with touch, and Chromium Edge definitely does not.

All is well, and thanks for the hard work. Only in the list of this week there is in one box still planned for July. I know, I am pedantic, :) sorry.

@Stefan Blank Ha, yes, that was intended. I did not have an update at the time of posting, so it was left as-is. I have an update ready for that next week. :)

This is a site for feedback on new features, generally for testing in Canary or Dev channels. When you post something like this, it's not really possible to take gibberish like that seriously, meaning it's not actionable nor helpful and therefore probably doesn't get you what you're after either.
For what it's worth, if I remove the nonsense from your post to get to what I think you're suggesting, it's a valid feature request: If Edge is running in Dark Mode, then when loading a new tab, use a dark background instead of a white background. Is that your request?
If you have a specific feature change request like that, press Alt-Shift-I (or go to Settings menu -> Help and Feedback -> Send Feedback) and provide the relevant information there so that a ticket can be created. Stick to the specific request and write it as if someone is going to have to document the steps -- meaning make it easy for them as possible with as much detail on the problem and proposed solution as you can, while also being as brief as possible so as not to waste anyone's time. All the rest just dilutes your point and makes most people ignore it.
