I've been working on a german project for a while and noticed what I believe is an incorrect translation.

When you have a range with formulas, and one of those formulas differ from the other, the english message is:

 And the german below

In the german version it says "Ungültige Formel", which in my "school" german translates to invalid formula, something quite different from inconsistent. I spent a few minutes looking at my formula trying to figure out why it was invalid...

Hi,

I agree with @TheSmileyCoder - that's not a good translation. Additionally, the word Oben in Formel von Oben kopieren should be written in lower case. And I would prefer to use zu instead of für in the third context menu entry.

I would suggest as translation(s) into German, including additional suggestions:

  • Inkonsistente Formel instead of Ungültige Formel
  • Formel von oben kopieren or Obere Formel kopieren instead of Formel von Oben kopieren.
  • Hilfe zu diesem Fehler instead of Hilfe für diesen Fehler.

Note: the word Inkonsistent is also used in the Errror checking rules (Excel Options > Formulas) and therefore I think, using Inkonsistent would align with that.

Best,

Mourad

Thanks @TheSmileyCoder and @Mourad Louha

We will pass it on to the team to look at. Thanks for the suggestions!
