Norwegian: Wrong translation in Teams when choosing who can reply to a post in the conversations tab

Hi! When in a conversation in a channel, clicking on the Edit-button to compose a new post, there is a choice who can reply to the post.

The second choice is "Du og sensuransvarlige kan svare". This makes no sense in Norwegian. It is unclear what "sensuransvarlige" refers to. Hope you can fix it, as this shows up in potentially all new posts.

Hi @Per Arne Kobbevik

Thanks for reporting this.

In English this string is "You and Moderators can reply".

Our Norwegian moderator will take a look at it and get back to you on it!

Thanks! Still unsure what a "Moderator" in a Team is? Does it mean other owners in the Team? Anyway, thanks for looking into it!

Hi @Per Arne Kobbevik

So from the investigation I have done the source Term is "channel moderator".

Its definition is: "A member of a Microsoft Teams' team who can control content in a channel."
More info on it can be found here however as you can see from the closed comments at the bottom you are not the only one confused by this.
Let me follow up with the Development team on it and get back to you.
It might take a bit of time but I will get back to you.

Hi @Per Arne Kobbevik

So I have found a bit more info from the Teams Localisation PM. Does the below make it clearer for you? Also which makes more sense "Moderator" or "Channel Moderator"? I presume the channel part was removed for fit and finish reasons (even in English). In your honest opinion what would the best term to use in Norwegian? Would we use Moderator? Or kanalmoderator? or Kanal sensuransvarlige? Is sensuransvarlige not a runner at all?

We would love to hear your thoughts!

What is Channel Moderation?

Moderators can manage who can reply and post in the channel.  Additionally, moderators can select from a number of options to manage users actions in a channel:

Who are channel moderators?

Team owners are by default channel owners AND they can designate other team members to be moderators:

Hi @Stafford Quaid
I think "Du og kanalmoderatorer kan svare" will work. (But it's a bit weird UX-wise that this choice shows up even if channel moderation is not turned on.)

I see the term "moderator" is used in the Channel administration dialogs. But be aware that the term "sensuransvarlig" shows up in these dialogs some places as well, and need to be replaced!
The term "sensuransvarlig" is definitely not a runner at all! :)

Hi @Per Arne Kobbevik

I tend to agree with you when you say "it's a bit weird UX-wise that this choice shows up even if channel moderation is not turned on."That actually threw me also. I will follow with the Dev team on that one. But I will also open the discussion with the Norwegian language moderator on the term moderator itself. We need to be consistent whatever we do. I will come back when I have news on it.
