Office 365 Compliance Manager versus Microsoft Common Control Hub

Copper Contributor

Microsoft provides for it's cloud services the Compliance Manager (CM) in order to manage, etc. conformance to a number of standards. (https://servicetrust.microsoft.com/ComplianceManager) This product has been updated regularly over the last years.

Since 3Q 2016 Microsoft also provides the Common Controls Hub (CCH) - a subset of the Unified Controls Framework as part of the Trust Center (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/trustcenter/common-controls-hub).

Questions:

  1.  How has CCH('s value) evolved since 2106?
  2. How do CM and CCH compare / extend each other?
  3. What are the usage scenarios for CCH when I'm already using CM?
