There's an issue with adding new aliases to shared mailboxes via the O365 admin portal. Namely, it always adds the alias with the primary domain, no matter what you select from the dropdown. @Anne Michels I've asked the person that reported this to send it your way via the Feedback button, but just in case flagging you as well :)

we've identified the issue and already deployed a fix. This will be resolved in the next two weeks.
