Adding Domain for O365 accounts without changing DNS entries.

Copper Contributor

So it seems a pretty simple question and it seems like I have read the answer but I want to confirm with someone. We just purchased O365 for business and are on a onmicrosoft.com domain which is super long. We were wanting to go to just our email addresses but wont be using O365 as an exchange service as we have a local exchange server handling that. I want to add the domain so that way all our accounts are using our company emails for basically a user name for right now. If so is it just selecting that I will manually enter DNS entries and just not entering any other than to confirm we own the domain? Thanks!

Hi @msweigert,

If you do not need to use services like Email, Skype for Business, Teams or Intune you just need to register the domain in Office 365 and use services like OneDrive, Office 365 ProPlus, SharePoint, among others.
