Add security group as member in M365 admin

I am quite sure I was able to add security group as member in a group in the 365 admin earlier, but now I cannot do this.

Is this a "new feature" from Microsoft?

It's a "preview": https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/roles/groups-concept
The experience can change at any time, until they release it in GA status.

So it was/is a "preview" to be able to add a security group as member of another security group in the 365 admin center? I am able to do it in Azure AD, but not in the 365 admin center.

The feature itself (adding group to admin role) is in preview, and until that's finalized, the experience across different endpoints will vary.
So adding a group to admin role is the same as adding a security group as a member of another security group?
