Spinning circle when double-clicking on Access database.

Copper Contributor

For about two months I have been experiencing an intermitting problem when double-clicking on an Access database to open it or left- clicking and right-clicking on open to open an Access database. I get the blue spinning circle, and the database will not open. I can restart the computer and then it will work again.  Also, I can start Access, use open and browse for the database and it will open. This only seems to be happening with Access.  I use a Lenovo T15 running Windows 10. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so, is there any solution?

Microsoft released version 2408 build 17928.20156 with a fix for this bug in the Current Channel on Tuesday, September 10.

If you do not receive it automatically, you can retrieve it by choosing Update Now on File - Account. Many of those affected have confirmed that the problems are resolved by the fix.

Thanks George, I will certainly give that a try.
I'm keeping fingers crossed but that seemed to fix the issue. Thanks again for your help.
