Connecting on the go: Updates to the Yammer mobile app

Yammer gives you open and easy access to conversations across your organization wherever you are. We have appreciated the feedback you have shared about the mobile experience and are constantly innovating so that you can do more in Yammer on the go.

We are excited to share some new and upcoming capabilities available in the Yammer mobile app on iOS and Android.

Now available: Share updates, enhance your message and praise others on mobile

Post announcements about news, upcoming events and new resources for your organization. Announcements help group admins craft messages that stand out because every group member receives a notification and message in their inbox.

Use GIFs to give your post a pop, quickly get your point across or emphasize your message. GIFs are a great way to express yourself more visually so that you can increase sharing and engagement.

Praise someone or a group of people who have loaned a helping hand or done great work. Recognizing your peers helps your organization foster a more collaborative and positive culture. This capability is now available on iOS and will be available on Android soon.

Coming soon: Quick surveys, access to group resources and enhanced accessibility on mobile

Soon you will be able to create a poll in the Yammer mobile app to get a pulse and quick feedback from your organization. The mobile app will also integrate with other Office 365 apps so you can easily get to resources like your group’s SharePoint document library, site, OneNote and Planner.

In addition to introducing these new capabilities in the Yammer mobile experience, we will also be integrating alternative text to enhance accessibility of the Yammer app.

We hope that these new capabilities enable you to better connect and engage across your organization as you move throughout your day, in the office and on the go.

Does anyone know when Yammer will be supported on the SharePoint mobile app? I have Yammer embedded in a Communication site, but it does now show on mobile phone. Thanks

How do you get to your Yammer bookmarks using the Yammer app on Android?

@Christine Green - We are in the process of releasing the new Yammer web part for SharePoint, which will be mobile-friendly. Please see our blog post about that topic here

@Connie Woo, the Yammer web part seems to be available now. But this web part has serious limitations when viewed in the SharePoint mobile app: it is not possible to embed the personalized 'My Feed' and have it display in the SharePoint app -- it displays an error message.

The Yammer web part does seem to work in the SharePoint mobile app when it is configured to display a single group's feed. But the Yammer 'My Feed' is much more powerful, since it represents the user's own choice of the Yammer groups they are interested in. Do you know when the SharePoint mobile app will support the display of 'My Feed' in the Yammer web part?

Great news !

Will the O365 resources be accessible through their apps ? Today a SharePoint doc is opened through the browser. It will be great to have the entire experience completely integrated and compliant to smartphones

Should the Yammer app on iOS devices have the ability to delete posts/comments?
