The technical documentation IT pros need to deploy, update, manage, and secure Windows 10 and related technologies is now on docs.microsoft.com . This includes the documentation for:

Why docs.microsoft.com?

 

This move, from the TechNet Library to Docs, is part of our ongoing commitment to make it easier for you to find the content you need and have a great experience viewing that content from any device—phone, tablet, or PC. Usability improvements include:

 

  • A clean, responsive design that scales to the screen size of your device and allows you to select either a light or dark theme.
  • Improved content discoverability and navigation, including a real-time table of contents filter that enables you to quickly find the content you're looking for in the table of contents.
  • Information on the estimated reading time for each article.
  • The ability to download PDF versions of key content collections and scenarios.

More importantly, having our technical documentation on docs.microsoft.com enables us to open the content up for your direct contributions and feedback.

How do I contribute?

 

To suggest additions or updates*, simply click on the Edit button in the top right menu to go to the corresponding GitHub page, sign in with your GitHub account, fork the project, edit the file, and submit your pull request. To provide feedback, click on Comments.

The Windows IT Center ( https://it.windows.com ) is still your one-stop shop for all the resources you need to explore, plan for, deploy, and support Windows in your organization. This includes virtual labs, demos, tools, downloads, and documentation—as well as tips and tricks, best practices, and troubleshooting articles. While the documentation now lives on docs.microsoft.com, you'll be able to easily navigate between docs and other resources using the blue navigation bar at the top of the page.
