Quick guide to Windows 10 training and certification for IT pros

We recently launched a new Windows 10 training and certification page on the Windows IT Center to help you update your deployment, security, and management skills, and obtain official Microsoft certifications for Windows. The new page features the latest courses from Microsoft Virtual Academy, free hands-on virtual labs, and a list of current exams and courses for Windows-related certifications.

 

What Windows certifications are available?

 

Microsoft's official certifications around Windows have been recently updated to encompass desktop IT fundamentals as well as specific Windows 10 scenarios around deployment, application management, and device management. You'll find the latest information on our training and certification page, but we're including a summary here as well for easy reference.

 

Entry level: Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA): IT infrastructure For individuals considering a career in desktop or server infrastructure or private cloud computing.

Associate level : Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows 10 Skills for your professional career and a certification that will help you get to the next level.

Expert level: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Mobility Expert-level Windows client certification is the globally recognized standard for IT professionals.

Why should I get certified?

 

According to a 2016 Value of IT Certification survey , on average, Microsoft certified technologists earn 15% more than their uncertified peers. What’s more, certified employees are often entrusted with supervising their peers—putting you on the fast track for a promotion.

 

When you pass a Microsoft Certification exam, you’ll have also have access to your Microsoft Badge so you can share your certification online with your professional network, and highlight your certifications on your website, blog, or other professional representation.
