Server 2008R2 Domain with Server 2016 DHCP

Hi all

 

Is it possible to run a 2016 DHCP server on a 2008R2 Domain?

Hi  @ReggieDaMole 

 

 

It is possible to use a 2016 DHCP server with 2008R2 DC. We are currently having this working in our live production and they are talking to each other as normal.

 

I reckon The "Dynamic Host Configuration (DHCP)" Protocol works on different boxes, you should even be able to provide DHCP even via a linux server.
