I recently installed VMware Virtual Center server on Windows Server 2016 and ran into several unexpected issues with Internet Explorer.
In VMware 6.5, the Windows vSphere client has been eliminated. The only management option is the web GUI which requires Flash.
The Server 2016 version of IE does not include Flash and it is not possible to install it from the Adobe website because it thinks that the host is Windows 10 which includes Flash as part of Windows.
The only option was to install FireFox and install Flash in FireFox.
