Disabling SMB1 stops working legacy applications

Brass Contributor

After disabled SMB v1 on windows server and/or windows 7, 10 etc. (using this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2696547/how-to-enable-and-disable-smbv1-smbv2-and-smbv3-in-...),

- I cannot SCAN from network multifunctioned copier machine (for example the model: Kyocera FS-6530MFP).

- NAS devices (for example, model QNAP TS-669 pro) frequently disconnected from domain controller.

- lost simple file sharing between windows XP and/or windows server, windows 7.

Once i enabled the SMB v1, everything works fine!

NOTE: if anyone has solution for the SCAN issue, which is my first point, will be glad.

Not that many solutions I could think of:

- Scan to FTP
- One dedicated "Scan Server" with SMB v1 enabled and Firewall settings to only allow the Scan devices on port 445/SMB
- Use other Scan Hardware
