HI,
I try to install a 2016 Hyper-V Server on a blank HP Server.
I've created 2 Raid-5 drives with enough space.
Downloaded the server (ISO) from the Evaluation Center and made an 64GB USB installation stick with Rufus.
Now I put this in the HP machine and start the boot. Choose the language (Eng), settings and keyboard in German.
Then klick install.
And got the error: "media driver your computer needs is missing"
The resolutions I found are
- bad DVD
- wrong SHA-1 (but there is not an hash at the download side)
But can this be possibly an error with the raid controller (HP P410i)?
Is there not an driver on the Server 2016 Hyper-V installation ISO? Where can I get this driver?
PS: I have downloadet the ISO a second time. The SHA is equal.
Or is there possible another error?
Thanks for your help!
T.

SolutionAbout the disk controller driver; you can contact HP or possibly download from HP website.
About the eval download; there are many ISP caching devices in use on internet. If you suspect a corrupt download then better to try downloading from another location (coffee shop, etc.) to avoid getting the same ISP cached copy.

Thanks. I got a HP SPP DVD. An Update of the firmware fixed this problem.
Thanks!
